Warhammer 40 Limited Edition Box set - the Weigh in!

Well, 40k 8th edition is here, and it's here to kill 7th (thank the gods!).  But, like any good title fight, there has to be a weigh in first.  So, I do just that.  To help justify in my mind the cost of the new limited edition, I weigh it against all my 7th Ed stuff...

Mystery solved... finally. Why the 4x4 game mats from GW?

  This should come as a surprise to exactly no one, but we do have the answer about why GW battle mats come in only the 4x4 size.  The city ruin battlemat is obviously perfect for Shadow War  Armageddon

  While the Khorne Battlemat is for the new AoS Skirmish game.  Been wondering for a while now about the odd size that just does not seem to fit their games...

  But it's all very clear to me now...
